There is no cure for being your awesome self!

My name is Dylan. I like my bed. It is too peopley outside. I much prefer peace and quiet.  I find sound overwhelming and will wear my ear defenders. I dance my hands when I am happy and I stamp my feet and stim on my chest to acknowledge. I can become upset when I am hungry and can get mad when it is too loud and busy. (only one person in my bedroom please)

I am nonverbal but I am the loudest in the house. I love going to School, but when I am at home I love to watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Little Einsteins and Bee Bright DVD's.  

I get dragged out on walks most days, if it is flat it is not too bad, down hill is great but stop making me walk up hills. Once I can see the car again, I am off. 

My favourite place is the hot tub or the bath when the weather is too bad. I just love water. It relaxes me. My favourite food is Chicken Nuggets and Chips, but I have to eat Shepherds pie for the vegetables. 

I still love a cuddle and a kiss before I am tucked up in bed with my blanket. 

My name is Elliott. Did you know that warm custard and Weetabix is the best thing on earth? Unless it is sugar free custard, I know the difference. I am happy, cheeky and energetic and never stop. Dinosaurs are my friends and they let me post and throw them, as long as they come back, when I am not looking. 

My best friend in the world is Serena. She is patient, caring and understanding. She will always make time for me. 

Wellies are my footwear of choice, I love to splash in puddles. I just love water the same, as Dylan. I much prefer to be clothes free when at home. 

I love Kinder Eggs, but not for the chocolate, or the egg or the toy. I just like to open them. I like to help feed the chickens and goats, at least I think it is helping. I need routine, and can become unsettled if it is lost. I am trying to find my words and they are coming. I use my proloquo2go to assist. 

I still like a cuddle before I go to bed. 

My name is Serena McCarron. I am cousin to Dylan and Elliott who I am very close to (more like siblings with Elliott). They have both been diagnosed with non verbal autism. Just because they can't talk doesn't mean they can not communicate and create the most amazing bond, whether it be a wiggle of a finger, an "ee" sound, a pat on the chest or a stamping foot. I love my cousins just the way they are. I talk to them, guide them, make them feel happy and safe and will always do so. Whenever, I see Elliott, he greets me with a hug. When I am with Elliott, he is just a 6 year old boy who is my best friend. 

I am very proud to be part of BEE UNIQUE. To me they are not different. They are Dylan and Elliott. 

My favourite character is Woody from Toy Story. "You got a friend in me"
