π NEW OUTDOOR ACTIVITY π
ππ MAY 2025 ππ
ππ BEE UNIQUE in colloboration with ULLSWATER OUTDOOR ADVENTURES were delighted to bring to you a PADDLEBOARDING Experience at DERWENTWATER ππ
β€οΈAn hour and a half session, where participants were trained by Ullswater Outdoor Adventures to have a go at paddleboarding. No previous experience necessary.
πThis was an exclusive session for parents/ carers, adults with or without an official diagnosis. “Have some you time, connect with nature and learn a new skill whilst admiring the scenic views”
π”Stand Up Paddleboarding (known as SUP) is a great way to explore Derwent Water and take in your spectacular surroundings. You will be in the hands of a super friendly, qualified instructor who will teach you all you need to know to get moving and stay safe. We can guarantee that you will have a good time and come away with a smile on your face, and it is highly likely that you will get wet at some point while you learn to stand up and maybe do a few tricks. The beauty of paddleboarding is that you can kneel, sit or stand and still enjoy this activity. You will be provided with a wetsuit and buoyancy aid and we have changing tents for you to use.”π
π¨ββοΈThe Town Mayor started the day by introducing the May Day, King and Queen before St Herbert’s Church of England Primary and Nursery School danced away to the fabulous Mazurka folk band. It was a fun filled day with children taking part in sport games, meeting and greeting ponies and having a bounce-tastic time on the inflatables and equipment. There was a mixture of lovely food vans & refreshments, suitable for everyone.π
